Trimsaran 12-38 Lampeter

A hugely disappointing first 20 minutes from Trimsaran, where Lampeter scored 3 tries to be leading 21-0 was costly in the final result as although Trimsaran improved as the game went on , they never looked likely of coming close to the visitors who scored 5 tries in total to take all 5 points back home with them.

Trim fought back after going down 21-0 and scored the next try after a period of 10 minutes of pressure in the visitors 22 through centre Lee Bates. Any hopes of a comeback were quickly put to bed as not far fromt he kick off Lampeter were awarded a penalty which they kicked to lead 24-5 at the break.

The 2nd half was a much tighter affair but Lampeter had strong defence and scored a further 2 tries to claim the Bonus Point before Trim scored a consolotion try when centre Lee Bates intercepted and went in under the posts for his 2nd try of the game which was converted by Full Back Ben Bridgewater.

To be fair to Lampeter they played with good intent and attacking play all game with strong defence and were worthy winners as they put Trim to bed but just as it was the previous weekend in Llangadog when Trim again conceded 38 points the defensive effort just wasnt there and if Trim want to climb up the table they are going to have to fix their defence.
