Trimsaran run out winners 33-6 last night vs bottom of the table and struggling Penygroes. With players from Pontyberem and Tycroes playing for Penygroes last night it was going to be a tough battle and it proved that as the visitors tried to use their physicality to break down the home team.

Trim stood up well to the fight ahead of them however and went 7-0 up inside the first 2 minutes, Penygroes had 2 penalties in quick succession to bring the game to 7-6 but Trim then run away with it running in another 4 tries to secure the Bonus Point before half time. In difficult conditions with the rain hammering down Trim would have been hoping to get another few points in the 2nd half but handling skills and crucial errors at cruical times stopped Trim adding to the score with the half time score of 33-6 also becoming the full time score as Penygroes went down to 13 men both captains agreed to stop play after 60-65 minutes of action and bring an early finish to preceedings.

Overall disappointing that the Green and Blacks couldnt build on the half time score but some strong defence stopped Penygroes threatening the home try line and a Bonus Point victory was a welcome sight as it raised Trim up to 9th from 11th in the table
