In the rain and wind at Caeffair Trimsaran recorded a comfortable victory by 19-7 against visiting Cardiff Saracens to finish their pre season campaign on a high. After a fantastic performance against Abercwmboi last weekend the boys were hoping for a similar performance this week against Sarries, it wasnt a performance of the same tempo but it was a dogged performance in horrible conditions and although the victory wasnt secured until the last 5 minutes of the game, Trimsaran dominated most of the first half and only basic handling errors and some good defence that denied them opening a bigger gap before the visitors scored on the stroke of half time to leave the half time score 12-7. The 2nd half was more even and both sides had enough territory to score some points but it was the green and blacks with the only points in the second half scored 5 minutes before the end which secured a victory.

A dogged victory in difficult conditions but not the same level of performance as the week before. If the green and blacks can play with the same tempo and attitude that we did against Abercwmboi then we will be a match for most teams in our league this coming season .

So thats pre season done with and now we look forward to the league campaign, we visit Llandybie on Saturday 1st September , kick off is at 2.30pm, make sure your there to support the boys
