Last Saturday Trimsaran travelled to Llangadog for their final away league game of the season. After a hugely disappointing performance vs Tumble the week before the boys were looking to put things right but after 15 minutes found themselves 14-3 down.
A try by prop Josh Daniels from a great offload by Iwan Roberts brought Trim back into the match with the conversion also successful from Corey Phillips leaving the score 14-10 midway into the first half.
From the following kick off though Trim failed to clear their lines and Llangadog spread the ball wide to cross the whitewash untouched and extend their lead to 19-10. This wasnt the performance Trim were looking for.
Trim started to get some dominance in the set piece and on the verge of half time were awarded a penalty try after successive scrums 10 meters out were penalised by the referee as Llangadog continuously impeded.
This left the half time score at 19-17 to the home team and Trim with alot to do in the second half.
For the opening 20 minutes off the second half Trimsaran played some superb rugby and were a shadow of the team from the first half with the forwards and backs linking up superbly with some fantastic tries scored through Steff Roberts, Rhys Evans and Lee Bates. Corey Phillips was succesful with 2 of the conversions and kicked a further penalty to extend the lead to 39-19 approaching the final 15 minutes of the game. Trim took their foot of the gas and it was now Llangadogs turn to apply the pressure for the final 15 minutes of the game and they got a further 2 tries themselves.
This left the full time score
Llangadog 29-39 Trimsaran with both teams scoring 5 tries in a highly entertaining game. The win means Trim keep the pressure on Tumble at the top of the league
