Trimsaran made the journey to Amman United on Saturday as we made a delated start to our league season. Amman lost to Tumble in the first game and would have been looking to hit back in style against Trim. 

Amman won the toss before the game and with Storm Arwen in full force the home team decided to play with the wind first half and would have been hoping to use it to their advantage. Amman did start brightly and kept the ball tight in the Trimsaran half but some good defence allowed Trim to clear their lines. There was an early yellow card to Trimsaran prop Josh Daniels for a off the ball shove after only 10 minutes of play. Now a man down and against the wind Trim had it all to do, some superb defence kept Trim in the ascendency and stopped Amman from threatening. Trim won a penalty which they opted to kick to touch and from 10 meters out they mauled their ways over through captain Ryan Edwards to open the scoring and take a 0-5 lead with the difficult conversion missed. Trimsaran began to dominate territory and possession and were unlucky not to score anymore points in the first half. With a penalty awarded on the stroke of half time Trim opted for posts 30 meters out but were unlucky to just miss. Leaving the halftime score 0-5 to the visitors.
